'Corofin GAA - Our Club, Our Future'

Corofin GAA Club are holding an open day on Saturday March 23rd with the theme 'Corofin GAA - Our Club, Our Future'. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness amongst the wider Corofin community of what takes place within the local GAA club, and to offer new people the opportunity to get involved in a local voluntary organisation - either on a small scale or on a larger scale if desired. A special guest will be there on the day as the club highlights what it offers the local community.

Corofin GAA Club is a vibrant local sporting organisation with many volunteers actively involved in a wide variety of roles, but the club are always on the look out for new people to get involved in whatever area they choose. There are a wide variety of areas within Corofin GAA Club which new people can get involved in. These include: Communications, First Aid, Administration, Coaching, Fundraising and Stewarding, among others. Training/mentoring is provided to all new volunteers.

The club has developed and expanded in recent years. Under the stewardship of Brian Gillespie (Club Chairman) and Eoin Walsh (Minor Committee Chairman), the club field teams in both hurling and football at all age levels from U-6 all to way up to adult level. The club has also developed state of the art facilities over the years including a playing pitch, training pitch, gym, sports hall, ball wall and walking track, while the club also provides a community playground which is very popular amongst the communities younger generation.
